Dr. Jean-Paul Lellouche (1981 Ph.D. degree/education in Organic Chemistry field, University La Doua, Lyon - France) moved in October 2000 to the Bar-Ilan University (Ramat-Gan, Israel) - Department of Chemistry & Institute of Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials as a Full Professor in synthetic Organic Chemistry/Nano(bio)technology (July 2008) & recent Dpt Head (Oct 2017-July 2018). His main current R&D activities concern nanomaterials engineering science (magnetic/non-magnetic drug/siRNA & microRNA delivery systems, theranostic nanoparticles for human therapy). He authored 161 peer-reviewed scientific papers (2,528 citations), 16 patents, and 4 book chapters together with a quite recent start-up creation activity (January 2019 – NANODROPs project).

Current Research: innovative anti-leishmania nanoparticles and human therapy creams development, anti-bacterial silica-based nanoparticles & proteinous microspheres, mTHPC targeting using innovative magnetically active iron oxide-based nanoparticles, use of tungsten disulfide WS2 nanotubes for photothermal therapy and polymers reinforcement & bio-sensing activity, innovative developmental nanodiamonds surface engineering for use in a wide range of bio-activity applications, biocompatible nanoparticles for anti-diabetic bioactivity and human eyes defects full corrective actions

Innovative nanoparticles for MRI and innovative concept of theranostic imaging, anticancer therapy (PDT/PTT), drug delivery systems (gene silencing DNA/RNA delivery etc.) and antibacterial bioactivity
